VICTORIAN BIG BATTERY 2
Neoen are proposing to build a second stage of the Victorian Big Battery and have lodged a planning application for this project with the Department of Energy, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) in April 2022.
The Victorian Big Battery 2 is proposed to be located approximately 360 metres west of the existing Victorian Big Battery facility, and proposes to build on the previous stage by increasing the battery storage capacity by up to 600MW. If approved and built, the project would also connect to the Moorabool Terminal Station, although it would via a separate connection point within the substation so that it could be operated independently as a separate entity.
Community and wider stakeholder feedback is encouraged while the application is on public exhibition during the second half of August 2022. The full Development Application package can be found at the following link:
